Halloween is just around the corner, and while everyone is getting ready by buying his or her costumes, the web is getting ready as well. Seasonal designs truly emphasis the times.

Many companies are using seasonal campaigns to promote specials. There are many different ways to approach shoppers. Some make enhances to their website, by posting banner adds, images and creating interfaces. Digital is the way to go and these collections of sites have very unique ways of promoting, while other could do a little better.

Universals Studios Halloween Horror Nights uses flash as its base. The overall feel emphasis’ scary. Great advertising, you know what to expect if you do decide to go and it definitely makes you want to get scared!

Doritos created a great free online game. You can either check yourself into the Hotel or commit yourself into the haunted asylum called Asylum626, which can only be accessed at night. It gives a horrific tour of different sceneries; where you are the main character have to fight to get out. Best of all it out of nowhere takes a picture of you, looking terrified. Awesome interactive feature that goes perfect with this time of year.

Ben and Jerry’s made a flash interactive piece with cartoon drawings that takes you inside and outside of a haunted mansion with ghost, bats, scary pumpkins and cool ice cream facts. It’s especially great for young children.

Trick or treat, candies are extra necessary. Being one of the key elements to Halloween, Hershey’s knows the value of the holiday. They have their own Halloween section that features the holiday candy wrapping, coloring pages, and extra goodies for users.

M and M’s chocolates are a delight, and they are extremely popular to give away and receive on Halloween. As a part of the festivity M and M’s website has a Halloween game. A ‘Where’s Waldo’ type of game, but instead you must find the dark movies and name them while the clock is ticking. Better freshen up on those movie titles.

I entered Hot Topic just the other day and saw very cute Halloween costumes being sold. When I checked out their website I was surprised that there Halloween items were not being advertised as much. I was expecting a full-blown homepage, but what I saw was not nearly enough.

We should not forget our favorite Hollywood slash films that everyone loves to watch. Movie websites are great for audiences; they provide information on the movie and are designed to give the films full impression. Friday the 13th is a favorite, the website looks amazingly scary and gives user interactivity with mouse over movement.
